Samples

Last modified: 10/3/98

This section provides samples of specific document types, and cookbooks on how to make them.

We are posting a variety of documents created with on-screen reading in mind. We started by describing this web site, a "how-to and why" on-line newsletter, then documents more specific to an Intranet: a weekly status report and a specification for a new version of a product. Next we presented a "makeover" of the Independent Counsel's Report posted on the Internet in September 1998 (the "Starr Report").

Each sample has sample pages you can look at, a tour of some of the pages with explanation, and background discussion. The first sample includes usability testing results.
